Default MNF NY Jets @ San Diego Chargers

Brett Favre and the New York Jets are going up against the 0-2 San Diego Chargers. The Chargers have lost their first two games, BOTH games were lost on the last play at the very end of the 4th quarter.

The first game at the hands of the Carolina Panthers, then against Denver. The Jets have to play their A-game as this team is very dangerous despite their record.

Quote:
" It's not just media hype. Brett Favre said the words:

"Must-win."

Yes, Monday night's game in San Diego is critical for the 1-1 Jets.

"I don't know what [the 0-2 Chargers are] saying," the Jet quarterback said yesterday. "[Head coach] Norv [Turner] may be saying this is a must-win. I'm sure in the back of his mind they're all must-wins.

"I feel like we're in a must-win situation as well. At the end of the season, when you look back, you can always say that one game or that one play may have cost us a chance at the playoffs or whatever."

As LB Calvin Pace said, "We definitely need to win."

It will be a challenge, because the Chargers' 0-2 record is misleading.

First, they've lost their two games by a combined three points. Second, they made it to the AFC Championship Game last year.

"We know what they are capable of doing," said Leon Washington.

The Chargers know what Favre is capable of doing, too

The Jets on prime time TV - this is a huge game! The entire football nation will be watching this game. Brett Favre will be analyzed and criticized throughout as will his teammates. And I agree the Chargers record is VERY misleading

and the san diego chargers are going to be one MAD team and very desperate team, so this turns out to be a huge game for the Jets.

well i think the Jets are going to get spanked tonight - there is no way the Jets defense will slow down the high powered san diego offense - despite all of San Diego's injuries

dude if Cassel was able to complete passes against the Jets defense at will, Philip Rivers is going to tear the Jets defense to shreds!

i disagree with you totally. the Jets defense played off of our offense last week. the missed FG and the lack of scoring punch depleted our defensive efforts.

Jets will be stronger this week! Much closer game - i predict a Jets win 31-27

i told you the Jets were in for a good ol' ass beatin! there was no way the Chargers were going 0-3. the jets had some bright moments but the defense completely struggled especially late in the game.

the defense also lost the play of Kris Jenkins due to turf toe or some injury. that helped the run game led by LT.

what really hurt was the 3rd down conversions that the Chargers were able to complete. it seemed as if every time the Jets had the chargers at 3rd and 8 or 3rd and 10, the Chargers picked up the first down with east! Oh and by the way Philip Rivers was NOT SACKED ONCE!

well I at least thought the game was somewhat exciting especially if you were a Chargers fan. The final score was 48-29 ... Jets are going to be in a must win situation at home this weekend against the Cardinals, which comes right before a bye week.
