i am just curious, what is everyones favorite bar in nyc and why (was it the experience, the cleanliness, or the awesome band)?

this is going to be interesting ... i need a few minutes to pull up my favorite memory at a bar in nyc (i know i have a favorite bar but its not in nyc) ....

back a couple years ago i use to go to Canal Room a lot ... always had a blast there! The bar tenders even knew who I was cause I was there every weekend. Another past favorite was the Bowery Room, especially in the summer when you could sit outside.

i would say marquee a few years back ... used to know the guy at the door so i always had an easy time getting in

that and my friends were bigger drinkers so we'd get bottle service and the booze didnt stop flowing. good times!

my favorite bar in nyc is Between The Bridges (BTB). Why? I love the free buffet they have.

Its located between the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges, and it is not waterfront property BUT you get a cool view as you walk to the bar from the F train.

are there any good bars to take a 35 yr old chic to? I am guessing she prob wants to go somewhere quiet so we can speak and not be mixed in with all these pple in their 20s.

And the area has to be in the 30's and on or right off of Lexington.
