Giants face Favre's Jets in preseason game #3
Quote:
"The last time the Giants saw Brett Favre, he was looking dejected on a frigid Lambeau Field sideline. On Aug. 23, they get to see him again.
The team that thought it ended Favre's career with an overtime interception in the NFC Championship Game will meet the legend again in two weeks when it faces the Jets in a "road game" at the Meadowlands. And they should see a lot of Favre that day, since the starters usually play into the third quarter in the third preseason game.
In their previous meeting, Favre - then with the Packers - completed 19 of 35 passes for 236yards and two touchdowns, despite wind chills of 23 below. But his effort ended just 56 seconds into overtime, when Giants cornerback Corey Webster stepped in front of Packers receiver Donald Driver and picked off what everyone thought was Favre's last NFL pass.
Four plays later, Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes kicked a 47-yard field goal that gave the Giants a 23-20 win and a trip to Super Bowl XLII.
Webster kept what he thought would be a historic ball and presented it to Lt. Col. Greg Gadson, the army veteran who lost his legs in an explosion in Iraq and became an inspiration to the Giants' championship team. After Favre retired, Gadson offered to give the ball back to Webster, but he declined."

Should be an interesting preseason game - although i dont think the Jets will risk getting Favre beaten up. At most I see Favre in for the first half - he wont play 3 full quarters.
