Since we are in mid - summer and i have yet to hit the rooftop bars, what are the hot trendy rooftop bars in downtown Manhattan, (SoHo, Tribeca, The village, etc). Any recs?

230 Fifth Ave. - can be hard to get into and usually has a long line unless you get there early
Ganservoort Hotel - very expensive Dream Hotel (Midtown crowd) Peninsula Hotel (expensive $20 martinis if you can afford it) Gramercy Park Hotel (another fav but difficult to get in unless you are connected) |

i wouldnt consider the maritime hotel a rooftop bar but they have a nice outdoor open space and its usually crowded with people ... forgot the name of the bar but i know its attached to the hotel ... its also very expensive

230 fifth ave. is awesome place to go if you can get in ... i recommend going with a few drinks in your system as the price of drinks there are ridiculous
