The Carlyle Hotel. Suites run from 1,050 to 6,000 - which could surely pain your wallet.

One of the last of New York's elegant Old Guard uptown hotels, the Carlyle is for grownups—preferably wealthy grownups. From the legendary Bemelman's Bar to its proximity to Central Park and the shops of Madison Avenue, this is the Upper East Side at its most exclusive.

anyways back on topic - the St. Regis hotel has suites that run from 1,200 to 2,300.

There are many new arrivals looking to be New York's No. 1 luxury hotel, but the St. Regis has been doing it better and longer than anyone else. From the King Cole Bar in the lobby to the butlers on your floor to the Remedé spa, the St. Regis remains on top.
