I just posted about this in the New York City News section but also thought it was worthy of day to day shopping. Its a cheap store with all the necessitites of home living. And if you badly need a new couch the first 500 customers will be granted that wish! Downside is I heard the line is already long!

just for the record i went to the new IKEA today and it was horrible! there was way too many people there! it was crowded and there was no room to move. i had a cart full of regular household items i was going to purchase. The next thing I know I get to the end of my shopping and see there is a massive long line for check out.
This is when i threw my cart off to the side and just left. As I made my way down the 'quitters isle' i asked a woman near the cash register how long she had been waiting on this line she replied, "over an hour." if your gonna go here go during the week when most people are at work or wait at least a month for the hype of the 'new' ikea to die down! |
