A swarm of bee's came flying in yesterday on 75th street. Spectators gathered for the show until the police had to close of part of the street to keep a safe distance. Jim Fisher a bee expert who works for the Bronx Zoo was called in by the police to remove the swarm. He said the reason for the thousands of bee's is because the Queen Bee herself decided to make the upper east side home sweet home.

i saw this last night on fox 5 news. one guys was saying how people were completely oblivious to the situation and actually walked right into the newspaper stand where the thousands of bees were buzzing. thought it was kinda funny! It looked like the spectators there were having a good time though

i heard there was another bee hive in the bronx a couple days ago. An NYPD officer was able to spray sugar water on the hive and scrape bees into a box and remove the nest. I wonder if any more will show up in the nyc jungle
