I thought the Devils played a GREAT game in the first and second periods. They were mentally sharp and were inches away from scoring possibly 2 or 3 goals BUT the crossbar got in the way.
Unfortunatley the devils BEST player for the past 10 years made the games BIGGEST mistake. Broduer let a puck slide right by him and as he missed clearing the puck away from the crease Callahan of the Rangers buried the easiest goal marty has allowed all season, in my opinion. If there is any positive from this game its that Broduer NOW knows he must be much sharper come tomm night! They need to focus and take this one game at a time. Hopefully the veterans in that locker room will keep the young guys focued because this is far from over in my opinion! |
