This rivalry is SO INTENSE that I could feel the urgency of winning from my living room. When these teams play each other its like the 2 stongest armies going head to head. Of course this season the NJ Devils have been owned. The NY Rangers have won all 7 games they have played against the Devils this season. The last time the Rangers have beat a team 7 times in one season was in 1968 when they beat Toronto 7 times. They play AGAIN (for the 8th time) on the final day of the regular season. Also both teams are now tied with 91 points, BUT the Devils have the edge due to the fact they have 42 wins compared to the Rangers 40. I for one CAN NOT wait till they play again!

well after the first period the Devils def had the better chances. Gionta and Brylin both had mini partial breakaways and didnt connect.
The ranger have also had some bad luck of the iron cross bar. The devils had the first power play but couldnt do any damage. The Rangers had the second power play and as well did not generate anything. At the very stick end of the period, the rangers starting turning it up as they drew a penalty on Paul Martin. The Rangers will start the second period with a power play. score 0-0 |
