All three airports are a pain in the *** when it comes to delays. As a matter of fact the new york city airports are the worst in the nation when it comes to air traffic and delays.

And it depends on the airline when it comes to accommodation. If they can not accommodate then they give you a voucher worth a certain amount of money and connect you on a different flight. I know plenty of people that had to sleep on chairs over night in all three airports waiting to catch a flight the next day. If your lucky you may never have to deal with it.
