New Look for Flatbush Av
"Flatbush Avenue, which is already slated to get a boatload of highrises, is also getting a big time makeover. The city is putting $15 million into creating a New Look Flatbush Avenue to go with all the new luxe condos and office towers. The redo will include "large trees," more lighting and a "tall and very imposing" sculpture.
The Post, which got hold of the rendering, reports the Flatbush Avenue remake will run from Tillary Street at the foot of Manhattan Bridge to Hanson Place in Fort Greene. The construction fun starts next year and wraps in 2009." |
