NY Rangers cool off NJ Devils - LocalApple

The ny rangers defeated the nj devils last night 1-0. The devils who were trying to put together a 10 game winning streak could not as Brendan Shanahan blasted a one timer past marty broduer. Scott Gomez got the primary assist against his former team. So far the Rangers have defeated the Devils in all 4 meeting so far this season. There is still 4 more games remaining between the 2 teams.

the new york rangers beat the devils AGAIN ... 5th time this season! Dubinsky started the scoring in the first with a slap shot past broduer to make it 1-0. They then took a 2-0 lead when drury snuck one in past broduer at his feet. Both drury and gomez earned points 500 during the game.

and now the metro ice hockey challenge the Devils are winless against both the islanders and rangers in 10 games!

wait i know gomez earned point 500 but are you sure drury did as well????

i believe so i think he had 498 points coming into tonites game against the devils and he scored 2 goals thus giving him 500 on his career - for drury that is!

i hope we continue to cool off the nj devils because we have 12 games left in the season and 3 games are against the devils and 2 game are against the Penguins and 2 games against the Flyers. Honestly, this last stretch against the division rivals makes me nervous. This is going to be a INTENSE FIGHT for the Atlantic Division. I sit here in anticipation mixed w/ joy and nervousness.
