Its a very confusing situation. I have seen some highlights of Darren McFadden and he will DEF be hard to pass up if he is available. With Thomas Jones and Leon Washington who I think are both AWSOME players and fit the NY Jets great, there may be no room for a guy like Darren McFadden. But then again if I were in charge of these decision I may still take him barring his availability. I think Darren could have a season or two of learning under Thomas Jones and Leon Washington and then having a guy like him around just in case of injury may not be a terrible thing. Its something to take note of and think about.

As talented as Darren McFadden may be we dont need him and we better NOT draft him. He will be useless on the New York Jets offense because our Offensive Line stinks to royal hell. We need serious help at the O-line. Either a great prospect or through trade. That is the biggest concern for the NY Jets on the entire football team.

City I am not so sure Darren will be available! I hope your right. Today was the first day for players to show up at Hofstra University and 2 people were no shows, Dwayne Robertson (prob cause he will be traded) and L. Coles, which is a slap in the face to Jets fans and the team.
Can you imagine if Lou Lamorillo from the NJ Devils was the manager of this NY Jets team? L. Coles would never play here again. I think Coles is a disgrace and should not be allowed at the facility and we should be actively seeking to trade him!! |

i agree .... LC should go. he wants the final 2 years of his contract torn up and a new deal. If i were the GM of the Jets i wouldnt give him a new deal. I respect him as a player but he is just too prone to injury and i wouldnt want to give him any MORE guarenteed money!

the ny jets have officially met with RB Darren McFadden.
Jets meet with McFadden by Dave Hutchinson/The Star-Ledger Wednesday March 19, 2008, 3:00 AM The Jets, who have the sixth pick overall in next month's NFL draft, flew a contingent of team representatives to Fayetteville, Ark., yesterday to meet with former Razorbacks running back Darren McFadden, according to someone with knowledge of the visit. That person spoke on the condition of anonymity because he's not authorized to speak for the club. McFadden, who rushed for 1,830 yards and 16 touchdowns last season, is considered the top player in the draft by many draft experts and there's a chance he won't be there when the Jets pick. He was clocked at a blazing 4.33 seconds in the 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine last month. Nonetheless, the Jets are doing their homework just in case. McFadden has been dogged by questions about his character and the Jets put a premium on character. He has been involved in two nightclub incidents and has two children on the way by two different women. In three seasons at Arkansas, the 6-2, 210-pound McFadden amassed 4,590 yards rushing and 41 touchdowns on 785 carries. |

I would love to see McFadden in Green and White, but I don't see it happening.

How about RAY RICE. I DON’T GIVE A CRAP THAT HE IS SMALL. SO WAS EMMITT SMITH. HE IS A DAMN GOOD FOOTBALL PLAYER. I dont mind trading down, build depth with very good players and then next year, get an impact player. I watched Ray Rice at Rutgers and I DEF liked what i saw. He is a local favorite!

What about Gholston! We have an opportunity to make the defense special by adding "THE GHOLSTBUSTER" to our three other versatile-athletic LBs. They all would be playmaking chess pieces. Play em inside/outside...anywhere you want.
The "Hitman" and the "Gholstbuster". Sounds reeaall goood to me. |
