The New York Rangers have now lost twice to the New York Islanders. The New York Islanders have also ended a 4 game winning streak the Rangers had going. Sometime before this season ends it would be nice to see the NY Rangers try to end this miserable spell the Islanders have going on them.
Last night Chris Drury was able to give the Rangers a 1-0 lead. Later in the third period, Paul Mara broke a 1-1 tie to give the Rangers the 1 goal lead they originally had. Problem was after the goal the Rangers could NOT score again and this time the New York Islanders took advantage evening up the game at 2 a piece and then winning the game midway through the 3rd period. The NY Rangers next play the Penguins at home. |

So far between all three New York tri state area teams ( Rangers, Devils Islanders), the New York Islanders have 6 points while the NY Rangers have 4 and the NJ Devils have 2. All these points are in head to head matchups between these three teams. I gotta say I am shocked with how the Islanders are performing. I really did pick the NY Rangers to come out of this Division.
