Nearly 400 fuel-efficient hybrids have been tested in the city's taxi fleet over the past 18 months, with models including the Toyota Prius, the Toyota Highlander Hybrid, the Lexus RX 400h and the Ford Escape.

I think we should bring over those European Smart Cars. They are tiny and dont eat up so much gas. More of those means more parking spaces. Makes perfect sense to me. The only thing is that I dont know if the Smart Car will pass teh safety standards in the USA.
