Default 40 Bond Street

The most stylish and sophisticated of the high end condo buildings going up on cobblestoned Bond Street located in NOHO is being called, "the best building thats been constructed in New York City in the last 70 years," according to Mr. Ian Schrager. With pop star Ricky Martin purchasing a 6.3 Million dollar three bedroom apartment as well as other various Wall Street heavyweights this luxury loft and townhouse condos include 11 foot ceiling, fireplaces, imported woods and floor to ceiling windows that open! The priciest closing was for 17.6 Million dollars for the top floor apartment on the 8th floor. Ian Schrager has also developed condos at 50 Gramercy Park North.

Here is a picture of Bond street. I like the way its been probably because I dont own a car and dont have to worry about getting a flat tire driving down that street. I think its the most unique street in NYC.

Saw an interesting article in the NY Observer a while back about the difference between Bond St. NOW and Bond St. in the 70's. Now Bond street is fancy and exclusive with a loft apartment that Mr. Ian Schrager has priced at 27,000 K a month. In the 70's Bond street belonged to gay porn artists and musicians who spent most of their time across the street at CBGB.
