NYC Rockefeller Christmas tree to be cut... - LocalApple

down in Connecticut today.

NEW YORK (AP) The Christmas tree that will be displayed at Rockefeller Center will be cut down today in Ridgefield, Connecticut.

The 9-ton tree stands 88 feet and is 45 feet in diameter. The tree will be set on a 115-foot-long trailer and hauled to Manhattan on a flatbed truck.

Workers will begin to erect the tree at Rockefeller Plaza Friday morning.

Woohoo....the holidays are coming = more time off from work

Has anyone heard about the Rockefeller Christmas tree this year? Have they cut it down yet and if YES where did they cut it down from (if you know)??

Its weird I tried googling it and I got last years information about the same 88 foot tree from Ct.

Sorry City I guess they are keeping it a secret this year.

I just heard that the Christmas tree this year is also from Ct. its from someones personal property ... an old couple that was willing to give up the tree.
