The NJ Devils start their season tommorow night at Tampa Bay. They play the first 9 or so games on the road. The Devils also have issues with injuries as Cam Jannsen, Jamie Langenbrunner, and Colin White will all miss time. Marty Broduer will look to carry the load as usual. I feel this upcoming year Marty will play less games then usual as the free agent signing of Kevin Weekes leads me to believe.
Also who will be Captain of the team being that Elias was assigned an A as was Gionta and Zubrus? Interesting questions heading into tommorows game. I wonder if this is the year the Devils fold. I sure hope not!!!! ![]() |

The new jersey devils will be just fine! They have marty broduer and as long as he is mobile and healthy, we will be a solid defensive team with a shot at winning every game. That is how good Marty is!! I think this offseason he has remained on a low profile in hopes of ignoring any pressure that may be added to his table. I think he will come out strong as ever and have a good time doing it. The only team I think that stands in their way are the Penguins with Crosby and Malkin leading that team. The Rangers will be neck and neck with the Devils this year as they are also majorly improved team.

well vinny lecalvier scores a goal and ties this game up 1-1. Vinny has always been a new jersey devils killer. But the devils get right back to things and are putting the pressure back on tampa.
