Default new york trans-fat oil change

A proposal to phase out atery-clogging artificial trans fats from the foods on the menus of new york city restaurants could help spur the nations restaurant chains to move more quickly to change their oils.
If NYC - the nations largest restaurant market, with more then 20,000 eateries - goes ahead with a city health department regulation that would require the removal of virtually all the trans fat from most of the items they offer, it would be the most significant step yet in the health community's effort to eliminate it from the nations diet. No US city has gotten as far as new york city with a potential trans-fat ban. If it is approved by the nyc board of health, restaurants will have 18 months to comply.

Of course its easy to tell people they should be aware of what they're eating, but if you go into a restaurant, how are you supposed to know what you are eating? in that sense i support the ban.

Hey so l stated way back in September of 2006 that new york was banning trans fats from restaurants and now Detroit neighborhoods have proposed to follow nyc's lead. NYC Trans Fat Ban Encourages Bans In Other States

you were right big....i see you mentioned this first before it came out...i wanted to say that Paul is also right, I change my mind, I believe they should do away with trans fat, I recently had stomach problems from eating at Mumbles on 17th and 3rd. I dont know how much grease they use or if they fry all their foods but TWICE I have been there and TWICE i got sick. So I do approve the ban.
