The Encampment
The encampment opens on October 5 - 7th, nightly from 7pm to 1am. From what I gather this is in some way, shape, or form an artistic thing. Check out the site here http://www.theencampment.net/

The image sure looks nice or artistic but i wouldnt wanna hang late at night on an island filled with lunatics. Not my cup of tea....but thats a nice shot of Rosevelt Island. Do you know if thats the southern or northern tip of the island?

Big, I believe that is the southern end of Rosevelt island. I honestly cant remember.

Just wanted to let everyone know that tonite starts the encampment as I stated a month ago. Its held on Rosevelt Island off the coast of Manhattan (obviously) for those of you that dont know. Its artist Thom Sokoloski's dedication to the history which is Rosevelt Island by lighting up 100's of tents on the southern tip of the island. The views are excellent from along the east river or you can actually head to the island to see what the fuss is about!
