Default NY Jets new running back Thomas Jones

strained a calf muscle. He looks to be ok, he did go down in serious pain and threw off his helmet but he was able to put weight onto his leg and walked off the practive field on his own. From the sound of it, it looks like everything should be ok.

It would be sorta crazy had it been serious after the whole saga with curtis martin. They do have a very dependable back up in Leon Washington.

He looked really really good in his second game with the Jets against the Baltimore Ravens...I thought he was more aggressive and hit the line of scrimmage harder. This 3rd week should be interesting, the Jets and Dolphins are both 0-2 and neither team can afford to lose in a very tough AFC conference if the playoffs are on the line.
