NY Giants beat the Washington Redskins on opening night of the NFL 16-7. The defense minus some key guys, including Strahan (retirement) held washington to just 7 points. Looks to me like this team is out to prove a point, AGAIN! No one is giving the super bowl champs credit for what they accomplished last year.
In the first half, Eli looked amazing as did Burress (who recieved a new contract). Brandon Jacobs rushed for over 100 yards knocking defensive players down as they tried to tackle the mass body of Jacobs. Based on the performance last night, I see the Giants as one of the top 3 teams in the NFC. |
