I agree, ANY visitors lucky enough to be in NYC should check out the drunk St Pattys day parade. It was a lot of fun the past couple years and i would expect nothing but the same this year.

If your into good honest graffiti work and are not closed minded to the actual beauty and skill it takes to paint graffiti, check out 5 pointz in Long Island City, Queens

-go to ground zero. the most popular concrete hole ever. then discuss what a waste of time & energy it was. buuut, since you're down there, walk over to southstreet seaport. check out a some big city pier life.

-if you want a different view of manhattan island, take the circle line boat tour.

-if you want some great pizza not in brooklyn/bronx, check out johns on bleecker st

- since the weather is getting nice, check out union square park, then walk down 5th ave to washington square park

- if you head to queens, go to astoria and check out the bohemian beer hall. a german style outdoor beer garden in the city. gotta love it. they serve other alcohol & food too

- check out chinatown (canal st) & little italy (mulberry st)

now that we are in mid summer - anyone that wants to do something cheap yet fun ... should bike or walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. You can have a good view of the sunset over towering the skyscrapers of Manhattan.
