Default NJ Nets trade Richard Jefferson for Yi and Simmons!!!!

official from ESPN. This is a HUGE gamble on the Nets waiting for the 2010 season to begin! Why? Good questions ... thats because a player by the name of LeBron James becomes a free agent. And he and rapper Jay - Z are close friends. (Or so I hope so for the sake of Nets fans).

To get rid of one of your best all around players is insane. Jefferson was still in his prime at 28 years old. He averaged more then 22 points a game and was SOLID on defense. And as you saw from Boston winning the championship this year, DEFENSE IS KEY!

Currently, this is a horrible trade for the Nets. I do not know much about Yi, but I do not believe he will be as good or better then Richard Jefferson. Maybe I am wrong and Yi will shine in the NY metro market and he will feel more comfortable with a large asian population. Time will tell!
