Marty Brodeur of the New Jersey Devils captured the Vezina Trophy as the NHL's top goaltender for the second consecutive season and the fourth time in his storied career. Brodeur, who also won the award in 2003 and 2004, finished with a 44-27-6 in 2007-08 with a 2.17 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage. He posted four shutouts and led all goalies in minutes played (4,635). He was once again the backbone of a hard-working Devils team that finished second in the Atlantic Division.
