Indoor BasketBall Courts
Are you guys aware of any indoor basketball gyms in Queens, where people can just come and play? If so, please share.

In Rego Park (Kew Gardens Area), there is one - it's called the Lost Battalion Hall at 93-29 Queens Blvd.

the "indoor" part makes it tricky.
My suggestion is this: Many health clubs have indoor courts, and virtually all of them offer free trial memberships. As long as you don't mind sitting through a brief sales spiel, it's easy to get a free week-long pass, which will enable you use ALL the club's activities, including their basketball court. My personal favorite is the SportsClub/LA on the Upper East Side and the Reebok SportsClub on the Upper West Side. And in case you're wondering about the ethics of this strategy, you should know that 'gym shopping' is something of a competitive sport among native New Yorkers. The sports clubs are all aware of it, which is precisely why they're so competitive in giving out these free trial memberships! |
