This free music festival presented by the Village Voice showcases the talents of emerging and alternative bands. The all-day concert features multiple bands on two stages by the water at Coney Island. Many of the Indie Rock bands go on from there to make into the mainstream; past concerts have featured Death Cab for Cutie, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Shins, and Peaches.

This annual concert is held in July. Coney Island Boardwalk, Main Stage and Stillwell Stage, in Brooklyn NY.

To get there take the Subway D, F, N, Q to Coney Island - Stillwell Avenue.
