I just wanted to make a quick post about the NY Yankees since their playoff series began last night. They got spanked badly by the Cleveland Indians, which to me looks like a well balanced ball club. Also Cleveland plays as a team where as the new york yankees all star lineup never seem to be in unison. Johnny Damon got things started hitting a solo homerun but after that it was pretty much all Indians afterwards.
I will be surprised if the new york yankee dont score at least seven runs with andy petit pitching tonite. The Yankees need a better performance all around. Pitching and an offensive spark is something to look forward to tonite as I predict that Yankees will get at least seven runs and come up with the win to tie this series at 1 game a piece. |

the start to the 2008-2009 season is going ok, or at least thats the best way i can describe it.
this is their final year at the old yankee stadium and they stand at 7-7 i guess being .500 is promising for a team with a new manager and close injuries |
