This is one of the most desireable and exclusive buildings in all of Manhattan. Why? The one apartment per floor, the proximity to mid-town manhattan, & with the Knickerbocker club directly across the street all makes this building a very lucrative location. Its a 13 story building meaning it has only 13 apartments and was converted into a cooperative in 1941. While Vice President, Richard Nixon purchased the 5th floor apartment and eventually moved out due to the competitive Republican Party rivalry between Nixon and Nelson Rockefeller. So anyone that lives in this fancy location, you should know the history that you live right on top of!
