Has this mural ever been taken down yet? I remember their being a big fuss over taking it down ...

Yea it was officially taken down I think early june of 2009.

The new retail tenant of the building, I believe Hollister or Abercrombie & Fitch (I think owned by the same company) are the ones that decided to take it down. As much as you do not like it the move to take it down is beneficial to them since they are competing retail designers.
