My favorite band in the whole world is Pearl Jam and being that I am a native New Yorker I am just curious what this band has meant to all that live here. The best live performance at Madison Square Garden belongs to Pearl Jam. It was a 2003 summer concert at the Garden where Eddie Vedder announced to the crowd that it was the loudest crowd in the Garden’s history, drawing comparisons to the Grateful Dead, Dave Mathews, and (I believe) a Metallica concert. This band has done so much for New York City like vouching to keep small local boutique music shops open and help keep them afloat. Whether or not this actually happened I do not know but his spirit is very touching and I truly believe Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) should have a special place in New York’s concert history.
Vedder seems to enjoy the crowds that are drawn to New York and each time I watch a Pearl Jam concert its almost as if they never want to leave the stage the Madison Square Garden stage. Props to the boys of Pearl Jam and I still am hoping to catch them live for the first time in New York. Check out what I am talking about: Last edited by bigapple; 11-19-2009 at 01:21 PM.. |

I did see Pearl Jam live but not in NYC. You should definitely see them live, it is quit an experience. Whether they have sentimental emotions to the city of New York I do not know ....
