Default Beacon Towers Harlem NY

Beacon Towers in Harlem has new condos and co-ops now available for sale. When I checked out their site it looks like the apartments are roughly 500k depending on size. The towers are located on 29 West 138th street. The listings are under Halstead Property.

I just do not know too much about the area it is located in. The exact location is on 138th street between 5th Ave and Lenox Ave

hahaha - If I am making the minimal 85k a year I am not moving to 138th street near Lenox Ave. There are place you can afford in a much nicer place like Battery Park (nice quiet area with parks). just my 2 cents!

Only 54 co-op residences and an 8 story building but do any of the apartments from Beacon Towers get a view of the East River?

Check this video at the .26 second mark and it discusses how Beacon Towers was low income housing but now is available to the 'open market'

Wow apartments start at under 300k and that is open to the whole market. So would you consider living in this location if its this affordable?

Wondering if this is a worthwhile investment??

It is definitely not expensive in terms of geographic location but I still have a problem with the surrounding neighborhood. As a single person I would be ok living there but I could not live there knowing my wife and kids are more susceptible to danger
