So I did a search for Matilda the resident cat at the Algonquin Hotel and I got to see a pic of this fancy cat. Check the link to see the photo and read some more.

As I performed my search for the cat I also stumbled upon some interesting information about the Algonquin Hotel. If your a writer and happen to be suffering from writers block you can get a special discounted rate of 25% if you spend a minimum of 2 nights. Sucks that you actually need proof of what your working on to get the rate though.

Got writer’s block? Let the New York landmark Algonquin Hotel help you get your muse back. Writers with proof of their written work-in-progress or published manuscript can save 25% off with a two-night minimum. Just ask for the “Writer’s Block” special rate. But how many struggling artists can afford a few nights in a New York boutique hotel? If you have a sugar daddy/mama consider inviting them too. Besides, you’ll want someone to laugh with when reading the New Yorker cartoons in the halls.

Anyways besides the cat, the hotel is running a special for locals (NY, NJ, and CT) that gets you 20% off of the room rate. So if you feel like coming to town and your from the tri-state area, this may be a good place to check out after a Broadway show or late night dinner.
its not just for writers but actors and artists as well ....

Do they really have New Yorker cartoons in the hallways or was this some joke that I am not getting?

Decided to let our viewers get a glimpse of the Algonquin Hotel cat Matilda:

Doesn't this cat look exactly like the one from the Bravo series Housewives of New Jersey. I think it was Dina's cat.

Can not believe your admitting to watching that show

The Algonquin is an awesome hotel to stay at! They treat you like gold there and the history the hotel has left behind is unreal. You have to see it to believe it.
