Default Marbury vs. coach D'Antoni

So after the New York Knicks traded Randolph and Crawford the Knicks had an 8 man roster. D'Antoni asked "supposedly" asked Marbury to play and Marbury refused to play. Can you blame him?

honestly if I were Marbury I would not have played either ... if coach had me riding the bench all season and then all of a sudden after a trade they needed me to play, i would say **** you!!

i think this was all brought about by D'Antoni .... he has an all star guard who comes into the preseason in shape and looking forward to start fresh and this is how he gets treated ??

on the same note if I were the Knicks, being that you are paying Marbury 20 mill something a year you cant just let him make that money sitting on a bench so i would just keep suspending him without pay ... both parties are a mess and sooner or later someone will have to give

i heard the knicks are going to meet with Marbury and try to discuss a buyout.

Clearly Marbury will never put on a Knicks uniform again as he stated, "the marriage is over."

So will we even see Marbury on the bench or has he been suspended indefinitely?

I do not even think he is suspended but he has to stay away from the team. I think Marburys status is in limbo.

Marbury was ordered Monday to stay away from the Knicks while the team looks for a solution to its $21 million problem -- one that has lingered since the preseason and exploded last week when the team suspended him for refusing to play and he retaliated with a series of inflammatory remarks about coach Mike D'Antoni.

Marbury's future was "not resolved" during a meeting with team president Donnie Walsh at the Knicks' practice facility, according to the players' association attorney representing him. The sides will continue to talk, but Marbury won't be around in the meantime.
