Default NJ Devils diversity amongst players and fans

Saw an interesting article on NJ.com about the possibilities that kevin weekes will provide to the NJ Devils. Its very similar to the NJ Nets YI in trying to attract a large Asian population to the NJ Nets games.

With the African American kevin Weekes, the situation is can he Johnny Oduya and Bryce Salvador be the hockey players of color to bring about resident Newark fans to Devils games??

Near the end of practice Tuesday, a black arena worker leaned over a railing and pointed toward the ice at Weekes. The goaltender nodded his head, and the worker smiled and lifted his thumb in a salute.

One fan noticed. Will others? The new starting goalie for the Devils isn't sure, but he knows it can't hurt.
Looks like Kevin Weekes could run for president.

Yes replacing possibly the greatest goalie of all time with a black goalie will surely draw bigger crowds *face palm. This is going going to be a long 3-4 months without Marty. I have faith that Weekes can at least hold the ship afloat for now

i feel like this article was written because Shaq and two of the NY Giants players went to Monday nights game at the Rock to see the Devils play Buffalo. But lets get one thing straight .... if you want to fill up the seats at a Devils game in Newark, Marty Broduer will get that done for you!!
