yea hopefully for the devils this is not too serious ... i hear he is def out against the sabres game! Weekes is a good goalie ... remember a couple years ago when he was the Carolina Hurricanes goalie ... he and the Canes beat the Devils in a playoff series ... so hopefully if Weekes becomes the starter for a short period of time he will be that kind of goalie

i think Lou sticks with Kevin and analyzes the issue ... if the Devils can maintain a .500 record until Broduer gets back there is a chance they sneak into the playoffs and hopefully with a full and healthy roster which could be beneficial for the Devils

the Marty Brodeur injury is really sad news (obviously marty will play again so thats good ) but his streak of 35 or more wins will end after 11 seasons. Even if Marty comes back to play the March 1st game against the Fliers, he will only be able to play 20 games meaning he wont even play more then 35 games this season. Its unfortunate that it was an injury that did this to him. I hope he can still surpass the Roy record at the end of the year and get that over with.

Wish Marty a speedy recovery!!

marty had the surgery yesterday morning and GM Lou Lamorillo reported the surgery was 100% successful ... so hopefully Brodeur will be back in February or March
