Ted Kennedy should realize after receiving trreatment for his brain tumor that National Health Care is not the answer. If Ted Kennedy were a regular joe he would never EVER have been given the time and treatment at the Duke Medical Center for his illness. Especially at his age!
Ted I am glad you are doing better but you are still a jackass! |

Ted Kennedy had the FREEDOM to chose his doctor (Dr. Allan Friedman) after very careful research and consultation with his physicians in Boston. Using FREE and INDEPENDENT judgement, Kennedy chose a world renowned surgeon for his experience and expertise in the field of neuro oncological surgery.
No government regulations restricted the Senator in this extremely important decision. Facing A LIFE THREATENING ILLNESS, no bureaucrat forced the Senator to chose his surgeon nor hospital from a government "approved list" - a list NOT generated by Kennedy's independent and free judgement, but by public servants who's expertise is NOT Kennedys life, but the arbitrary politics of "pull", of favors owed and collected, of political pressure groups and the bitter reality of healthcare rationing. Ironically, however, Kennedy succeeds in his ambition of forcing a government financed healthcare system onto the American people, ALL THESE LIFE ALTERING AND PERSONAL FREEDOMS WILL VANISH! This is the reality of any government enforced healthcare system - both patients and physicians will face a vast increase in taxation and the loss of additional property (fines) and liberty (imprisonment) if they violate the morass of arbitrary and contradictory regulations that will descend on a healthcare industry that is already all but crippled with the slow and steady creep of government controls over the past 50 years. |

most Americans think "Universal Health Care" or "National Health Care" and they probably think 'oh thats great! - i can get health care from anyone and anywhere'
The problem and what the Democrats fail to tell people is the increase in taxes to afford such a healthcare system. And even then, national health care is not a good system at all. It is government controled with many stipulations and the average people will not be able to afford top experienced doctors under this 'system'. |

i am not even remotely scared to say this - but i wish ted kennedy never made it through that surgery! he is an @sshole!
i think ted kennedy (who is a STRONG supporter of social medicine) should have gone to an industrialized country where social medicine is practiced. but of course mr. kennedy chose to go to the Duke Medical Center - i repeat - what an @sshole! |
