Default Toll Increases NY-NJ

Tolls to cross the George Washington Bridge and the Lincoln and Holland tunnels increased to $8, from $6, during peak hours. Off peak hours are after 6pm and after 10am.

One scenario calls for raising the current $6 peak and $5 off-peak bridge and tunnel tolls to $8 and $7 respectively, with an additional $1 off if the agency decides to keep the E-ZPass discount. Under this scenario, the increase would raise about $275 million annually for the agency.

I want to know what they are going to do with that money. My honest opinion is these crooked politicians will be pocketing a good portion of it!

So when do you think they will raise the tolls again? I am guessing within 2 years it will be up to 10 bucks for the Hudson River crossings.
