Being the most exceptional hotel in the capital of the world that is New York City must be very demanding. I felt that Mandarin lived up to its reputation in every respect. Located on top 20 floors of the most recent city landmark, the magnificent Time Warner center, the hotel offers unparalleled views of Central Park and Hudson River. I had a room on the 52d floor which was impeccable, with wall-high windows opening up to sweeping panorama of the city that never sleeps.
The service at Mandarin is truly remarkable. The hotel is a favorite destination for celebrities (and apparently photographers who were hanging out in front of the entrance) so running into a Hollywood A-lister or the likes of Ryan Seacrest is somewhat of a usual thing. The location at Columbus Circle is one of the best in Manhattan, very convenient and in proximity to everything in Midtown. |

I have stayed at the Mandarin Oriental in new york city and at the one in London. The one in London was right near Hyde Park if i remember correctly. They are gorgeous first class hotels. I have some photos from the ones in new york city.
