the nj devils won again tonite beating Atlanta in a shoot out 3-2. Marty Broduer stopped all three highly skilled thrasher stars in the shootout. Brian Gionta scored on a back hander providing the devils the only goal they needed during the shoot out. This is now 7 WINS in a row!
They next play the boston bruins wednesday night at the Prudential Center in Newark. They will look to make it 8 straight wins. John Madden and Sergi Brylin scored the regulation goals. When you listen to the interviews the devils players themselves sound very confident and it seems like they are having fun. Cant wait till Wednesday night! |

Can you imagine had scott gomez not been money hungry and stayed with teh nj devils how many points he would have had during this 8 game winning streak. My guess is between 15 and 20 assists and thats just assists. I would throw in maybe 3 or 4 goals as well. And remember this is a new system for the Devils thats more offensively friendly something that scott gomez could have utilized had he stayed with the nj devils.

its more like zach parise is on fire! Last night the NJ Devils beat Toronto at the Air Canada Center 2-1. Of course Zach scored both goals!!
The left winger has scored five goals in his past three games. The game-winner against the Leafs came with 48.3 seconds remaining in regulation time after linemates Patrik Elias and Jamie Langenbrunner both had chances. This gives parise his second straight 30-goal season as the Devils held onto first place in the Eastern Conference |

Did anyone see the game last night between the Devils and the Minnesota Wild? The two teams that both went through Jacque Lemaires defense first systems put on a wild show! I thought it was one of the most exciting games I have seen all year. I was also proud of the 4-3 SO Devils victory. I was pleased with the effort overall in the 2nd and 3rd periods after a dismal first period.
