So far marty broduer is keeping the devils alive in this game. Andy Greene fell and Mats Sundin of Toronto had a perfect chance to make it 1-0, but marty broduer made a huge huge save.

what a great end to the first period because originally it seemed as if the only person to show up was marty broduer who made 4 great great saves.

Clarkson just provided the icing on the cake.

The New jersey devils with an impressive 3-2 win last night over the Toronto Maple Leafs. After taking the 1-0 lead they let Toronto get back into it. And then while Toronto was on the power play John Madden took a short handed opportunity and scored on a fast breakaway. that goal made it 2-1. A short while later Zach Parise had a couple chances in front of the net and pounded one home. That made it 3-1. A little too late, Mats Sundin the captain of Toronto scored a goal to make it 3-2.

But the nj devils really need to thank marty broduer for his 1st period efforts because that game could have been long gone in the first period. marty broduer also earned win 498 and is inching closer to be only the second goalie with 500 wins.

Tonite the NJ Devils play division rival new york rangers. From what i hear, marty will be in net again.
