Best places to go for photos of nyc?? - LocalApple

I am wondering where I can go to get a good photo of nyc so i can send it back home to my family. Any ideas. I am sure there must be multiple localtions to go to. I would like unique photos that are not the typical post card, if you know what i mean.

I would say take a ferry ride around manhattan and see what kind of shots you get. You should def be able to get nice photos of the statue of liberty, as well as nice landscaped shots.
Or go to the GM or empire state buildings and you can get good photos of surrounding manhattan boroughs.

Lauren thanks for the info. I will have to take a day during the weekend to get some quality shots to send home before the winter gets here and i get too lazy to head outside.

they also have helicopter tours of nyc for good aerial shots of manhattan although im not sure how those photos would come out in a moving helicopter ... i for one have never tried it ... it was just an idea that popped into my head seconds ago!

forget the helicopter and ferry .... i know a cheaper way rent a bicycle (if you dont already own one) and you'll cover a good portion of nyc in a day!

that and a bike ride around nyc would be good exercise!
